Streetlab
Streetlab, like the ECF's media programme, focuses on youth and popular cultures and the way these deal with questions of cultural diversity.
During Amsterdam Fashion Week, Streetlab presented a new international festival on 'street fashion' and 'street art', July 2007. The festival took place at the cultural centre Westergasfabriek and is attracted over 100 young designers and others active in fashion, design, film, photography, street art and music. The ECF and Streetlab commissioned photographers and journalists to cover street fashion in a number of European cities. Results were first displayed at the 'Show-off' exhibition in Amsterdam (Pakhuis de Zwijger, 28 September 2006). This exhibition was also part of the July 2007 festival.
Beside the photographs, 30 videos from the ECF project oneminutesjr. were presented to the visitors.

Also in Amsterdam, the Streetlab Block Jam on August 10, 2006 saw young people presenting street fashion, mini collections, various clothing styles and accessories. All this accompanied by the fruits of several workshops, breakdance performances, photography exhibitions and oneminutesjr screenings.
Streetlab is a project of Stichting Streetlab, initiated by the Premsela Stichting (Stichting voor Nederlandse vormgeving) and Cultuurfabriek.
