The ECF Grants scheme has changed
Visiting this page lately, you've probably noticed that we've been going through a period of change with our Grants scheme.
The transition phase is now over. So, what can you expect from the new Grants scheme?
The support we provide is taking on a radically new shape. From now on, there will be two separate funding lines, individuals as well as organisations can apply for certain grants, and the application process is much simpler - no more form-filling!

The two separate funding lines are:
I. Making collaboration work grants for cultural organisations
General: This funding line is about stimulating collaboration between cultural organisations. Projects will be assessed specifically on their collaborative nature and the added value they bring to the practice of cultural cooperation in Europe
Who can apply? cultural organisations
Deadline: 1 April 2008
Maximum grant: €30 000

II. Artistic project grants for cultural organisations and individual artists
General: This funding line supports artistic projects that show vision in illuminating the issues of diversity in Europe. Projects will be assessed specifically on their artistic quality.
Artistic uniqueness and European relevance are the main selection criteria.
Who can apply? cultural organisations AND individual artists
Deadline for applications: 1 September 2008
Average grant: €15 000 - €25 000
Balkan Incentive Fund for Culture
There will be no separate procedure for the Balkan Incentive Fund for Culture: all Balkan projects will follow the same steps as those projects from the rest of Europe. There will still be extra money specifically available for projects from Balkan countries. This basically means that Balkan projects have a higher chance of being successful, as there are more funds available to support these projects.
The ECF, Hivos and OSI remain committed to working together to improve cultural collaboration within and between Albania, Bosnia-Hercegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia.
