StrangerAcademy (13-17 October 2009) is part of the StrangerFestival, which organises activities such as 25 workshops in 20 European countries, a travelling exhibition of videos of young videomakers, and a competition. StrangerFestival is also an online platform where the best young European videomakers can tell their stories, bearing witness to a changing Europe. StrangerFestival is an initiative of the European Cultural Foundation (ECF). First presentation of Routes - Princess Margriet Award for Cultural Diversity - Brussels, 9 December 2008: The ECF announces the first edition of the award calling attention to those artists and cultural actors from across Europe whose exceptional art works and groundbreaking intellectual contributions lead to a more positive understanding of European cultural diversity. This year's Routes Award goes to Emeritus Professor Stuart Hall and to Jérôme Bel and Pichet Klunchun. As well as the prestige which comes with the Award, the laureates will together receive a total of €50,000. | more about this
