ANNA LINDH EURO-MEDITERRANEAN FOUNDATION FOR THE DIALOGUE BETWEEN CULTURES - Alexandria, Egypt
The Anna Lindh Foundation (ALF) stimulates and supports projects and initiatives promoting intercultural dialogue in the Euro-Mediterranean region. Over 1500 civil society organisations in 37 Euro-Med countries are part of the ALF network.
The Anna Lindh Foundation is a "network of networks". In each of the 37 countries, national networks of civil society organisations have been established. Based on our longstanding involvement in the Mediterranean region, the ECF has been asked to coordinate the Dutch national network.
The Dutch ALF network brings together a group of cultural organisations, youth workers, research institutes, sustainable development organisations etcetera, all working on the intercultural dialogue in the Euro-Med region. By connecting people and organisations in and through national networks, the Anna Lindh Foundation seeks to actively support and promote intercultural dialogue, feeding into a constructive Euro-Med collaboration.
ALF activities include workshops and trainings, arts exhibitions, teacher-training activities, experts meetings, and two annual Euro-Med awards. Besides, the ALF financially supports cooperative projects promoting intercultural dialogue in the Euro-Med region.
